I remember playing this game when the first chapter came out and it instantly hooked me but I decided to put it down and give it some time just so I don't get sad when I finish the story so quickly, I completely forgot this game existed and always called it in my mind the crown game 😅🤣 and finally I randomly found it today while browsing through some IF's reccomendations and the fact that chapter 3 is coming out in a mere few days has me hyped,so I will patiently wait until it comes out before diving into this world again,I don't think I can handle waiting any longer.
The story and the plot itself are so amazing 😭. I'm waiting impatiently for the next chapter... I'm literally thinking about this every time I touch and check if a new chapter has been updated... Author you're doing a breathtaking job in this...
I'm really liking this story. The world building is sound and dialogue and descriptions are on point.
Only thing I might recommend is revisiting choices. There's some choices that feel pointless, and other places where having a choice would feel appropriate but there's none. For example, I know Faydia is plot important for the chapter after she is introduced, but if there's the ability to choose how you feel about other characters and defining their relationship, it feel like there ought to be that choice concerning her as well.
There's also... a lot of rage in the beginning. There's a lot going on, and it's understandable, but if it's going to be a player character, wouldn't it make more sense to let them choose what they focus on? The grief of losing parents, and if they focus that as sadness or anger or apathy. Being dragged away from home, surrounded by strangers, if that causes fear or rage. Choosing if they act out, or just take the treatment so they don't bear the brunt of everyone else's anger.
I just say this because I was trying to play a more weak willed character, and while there were some choices that could allude to that, most of the other scenes didn't show the personality being developed, so felt those scenes were out of character. It worked well in the beginning, before the family's death, when everyone treated the MC as someone who needed protected, even by their twin.
As I said, I am enjoying it, and modifying the character I was playing made the story flow naturally. I do look forward to future updates.

No, it isn't dropped! My last devlog was in september (check it out if you haven't read the short stories yet!) and since 2024 did just start, I have only been quiet on here for 3-4 months LOL.
I want more husbando scenes with Luceris. I can understand why he wanted revenge. But I don't believe that killing him or treating him bad will do us any good. Forgive and forget. Only then can you move on and be happy. :D
Okay so I have to say I 100% disagree with this statement. For starters we have seen absolutely no evidence that the rest of your family was involved with his wifes murder, just speculation/assumptions on Luceris' part. And after the war broke out your parents sent your 2 oldest brothers to try to negotiate a peace treaty, and when they approached Luceris, under a flag of truce, he had them killed, maimed, and dismembered. All so he could send them back to your family as a message. After he murders your parents, who at the time are unarmed in their own bedroom, he then proceeds to annex your home country, all so he can crown himself Emperor.
It's only from the misguided pleading of Lancelot that he spares you, not from any sense of remorse or mercy. Afterwards Luceris wastes no time in naming you Consort, which carries some very heavy implications. For starts he never states WHOS Consort you are. Are you to be married off, even against your will, to Luceris or his son Helios? At any moment during Chapter 2 he can snap his fingers and marry you. Then you would be expected to do your duty and bear his child, and again you would have no say in the matter, and everyone around you would say you should be happy or proud and to just do your duty. You are just a prisoner, a prisoner in a gilded cage but still a prisoner. Luceris has already proven he has the capacity for cruelty to follow through with such atrocities. So no, Luceris is by no means a "Husbando", he is a monster plain and simple. He deserves, and shall receive no mercy from me.
Love this story and look foward to the next Chapters! Really hope we get the option to have Luceris face the monter he made! Would love the option to remove Vincent's miserable head from his wretched, brooding, shoulders.
I must say I found it a bit ridiculous when Luceris made our 9-year-old MC the new queen simply out of revenge against their sister. Considering that a child with no family in an enemy country really doesn't have the right to say "no", the story development actually makes sense, but things still frustrate me a little when there's a refuse option here and it doesn't really make sense.
I hate this sick king, yes, and can't wait for revenge :) looking forward to the updates and seeing what good stories you bring us!

All I want is to go back to my country and, hopefully, rebuild or at the very least live there anonymously for a time then travel the world. Basically leaving this enemy country is my revenge+healing. I want the king or "Emperor" or whatever to live (but I feel like he'd have to die for me to leave his country) so he suffers to his death with the same unquenchable love. I'm utterly cold to anyone who has anything to do with the fall of my country, except for that one soldier who fed me non-stop. Courteous, cautiously, with Lancelot and people who show favorability to me but that's where I draw the line. I know they are good people, but I hate them (Yet, somehow, my stats show that I'm "Charming". Interesting, I suppose not being rude helps. Also, I feel so sad, the 9 yo I played was so mature it was unsettling but that's life for ya.) I want to leave this place. Use the knowledge they give me while training to be a royal consort to further my older brother's research if possible and don't look back. If nothing else I could make a living with my "royal" IQ, right? xD

I LOVE THIS GAME!! The entire game got me feeling emotions so strong I started weeping in my dad's office in front of his co-workers so that was an experience! I love how you write emotions— especially anger and grief.

4. Lancelot kinda made me angry but I decided to warm up to him so MC doesn't have a short number of people to seek comfort and safety from. Though, Lancelot won't technically be enough to replace MC's former dad, I still wanna see MC and Lancelot having a father/child dynamic. He's a chill guy:D
Questions- do we get more Lancelot lore?👀 and do we get the option to be a little shit and and fuck around just to give Vincent an aneurysm cuz I'm pretty like that? >:)

Luceris is not an RO, the situation would be frankly distasteful as he is more than 20 years older than MC at the beginning, killed their family, and kidnapped them.
I wondered about that, too. The romanceable characters are only starting to get more room in the story at the current end of the demo - which isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong :) But yeah, I had the impression of Luceris being like a secret RO, too 😅 Simply cause their interactions are many plus pretty intense and I guess thats the reason Luceris tends to leave a heavier impression at the moment 😊

i read the ch2 update that you released 11 days ago. but it also says you updated 1 day ago .. is that a legit update (since my saves are gone *sad face*) or is it the same new update from 11 days ago? asking so i can avoid an all cry fest again. that beginning gets me every fckn time lol and it is only 8:30am lol every time im a blubbering mess lol
It is the same as 11 days ago, if there was a new update I'd make a devlog about it! I just fixed some choices that were leading to the wrong passages.
I advice you to download the saves so they don't disappear.
Generally enjoy this, but echoing what it appears at least one other has said about not feeling like there is much control of the MC/the MC's personality.
My main frustrations come from the anger that appears to be focused solely on the King and not at all targeted toward her own sister, who really started the whole war, along with the MC's lack of... interest, I guess... in gaining a better understanding of why her family is viewed the way it is. For example, I immediately started wondering if there was more to the story regarding her own parents, even, but MC has never thought to ask questions about any of that. My other frustration is with how MC treats the Prince. MC, in essence, views the Prince the same way that the King views her - guilty purely because of association with the actual culprit, which really just makes MC read as a hypocrite to me. Perhaps these are just growing pangs and as MC matures, they will come to some of these realizations, and I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority with my thoughts based on most other comments I've read.
Hey! Thank you for giving me your opinion. I want to say that even if you feel as if your opinion is in the minority, I think it's good that you express it! It also allows me to engage in a conversation about why I did this and that in the story which is good.
My thought process while writing chapter 2, which is what I think is the main part where your complaints rise from, was that MC is still in the process of grieving. Yes, it's been 6 years since the death of their family but it affects them quite deeply as it happened in their childhood.
To me, when someone is grieving it's a lot easier to point the finger towards the closest person they can blame and for this chapter that person is still Luceris and not their sister. The player will get the option to determine how they feel about their sister in the near future but for now it's so much easier to blame the king.
And due to their grief they are merely going through the motions of the life they were thrown into and not quite living or trying to live and understand the world around them.
About the part with the prince, I don't think I wrote it in a way that acts as if Luceris and Helios are equally as guilty. Just like Helios maintains his distance with MC, they do as well but I suppose it could come off like that.
Of course this is just what I think and since I'm the author my opinions are the base of everything but you can have your own opinions too and they are perfectly valid.
I will be adding more personality choices to the current demo, mainly stoic/sly/manipulative kind. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

I'm only on the first chapter so far, but Iove this so much. The story is a interesting, the writing is chef's kiss. The prologue made me sob. I'm so angry at the situation, everytime someone opens their mouth I fanna swing at them. The injustice and frustration feels very real. 😭 but anyway shsh I know it's gonna be a great journey! (It's also my first interactive game, so thank you for setting the bar high!!)
Edit: Okay, I read the second chapter and all the characters are so good!! I can't choose which one I wanna interact with more!

I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out since I'm planning on adding more content to the current demo.
Since chapter 3 has another timeskip to when MC is 18-20, I decided on adding playable short stories that are set before it mainly because I want MC's relationships with the others to have more substance.
I want to include options for MC to have a childhood crush on either Hunter or Fadiya. Due to the timeskips it would feel rather out of nowhere if I didn't include some content in between the timeskips.

I'm only on the first chapter so far, but Iove this so much. The story is a interesting, the writing is chef's kiss. The prologue made me sob. I'm so angry at the situation, everytime someone opens their mouth I fanna swing at them. The injustice and frustration feels very real. 😭 but anyway shsh I know it's gonna be a great journey! (It's also my first interactive game, so thank you for setting the bar high!!)

I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out since I'm planning on adding more content to the current demo.
Since chapter 3 has another timeskip to when MC is 18-20, I decided on adding playable short stories that are set before it mainly because I want MC's relationships with the others to have more substance.
I want to include options for MC to have a childhood crush on either Hunter or Fadiya. Due to the timeskips it would feel rather out of nowhere if I didn't include some content in between the timeskips.
